This review is from: HP Spectre x360 – 13t Touch Laptop i7-8550U Quad Core with 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD 13.3″ IPS FHD Touch, Gorilla Glass, Win 10 Pro, Dark Ash Silver, 3 Years McAfee Internet Security Antivirus (Personal Computers)
This laptop has all the bells and whistles of the latest technologies. What’s more? The laptop is beautiful in Dark Ash (or Charcoal) with bright Copper hinges and trims. In simple terms, it’s beautiful, ultra slim, light, and powerful.

I have done an extensive research for my new laptop purchase both online and offline, and I am absolutely glad that I have made the right decision with this one. HP Spectre x360 – 13t Touch Laptop i7-8550U Quad Core with 16GB DDR4 RAM,512GB SSD 13.3″ IPS FHD Touch, Gorilla Glass, Win 10 Pro, Dark Ash Silver – 3 Years McAfee Internet Security Antivirus . To top it off, I bought this one at the lowest price available both online and offline.

The only concern, a minimal one, is that it came with a Stylus pen that you need to insert a battery (AAAA). It would have been nice to have a pen with a rechargeable battery, but I don’t use the pen often. And I know there are many digital pens out there if I ever needed a better pen.

I was a bit concerned about the heat and the fan issues posted by others. The laptop will get heated (but not hot), but so did all my previous laptops including other models and brands from HP, Lenovo, and Dell. I don’t feel anything exorbitant or unusual. The same with the fan. The fan does its job as it is designed to cool off the laptop at its peak operations. Perhaps I am used to these fans running as I have been working exclusively with laptops only – no desktops for so many years, but I know that the fan does not run all the time as pointed out in some of the reviews. Thus far, and I had this laptop for only few days, it stays off on most occasions. In fact, I hardly have noticed the fan running.

Again, as you can see, I am extremely happy with this laptop, and I would recommend this laptop to anyone looking for a laptop that is beautiful, slim, light, and powerful in hopes that other buyers have the same experience as mine.

    Enjoy!

Added Note: Now that I had almost two months into using the laptop, I have noticed that the fan runs more frequently than my previous laptops. Intel suggests that I7-8550U should run between 70 to 100 degrees Celsius. For a high performance computing power packed in such a thin and light frame, it is critical that the fan is designed to run in order to keep the temperature within this range. If you are sensitive to the fan running frequently, then you may want to think twice before committing to this one.

Better than I expected! I heard that this laptop has some heat / fan issues, however, it can be avoided by leaving the device fully on (not in sleep mode) for at least two hours from when you first set it up . This is because all of the default apps and software needs to fully update. I’ve put it through some stress tests and it works great!
