Never was really happy with the unit because of the permanently creased screen …, February 22, 2015

I have owned this 120 inch CineTension2 screen for aprox 4 months. I have only raised and lowered the screen a few times. I was told that the horizontal lines / creases in the screen material would fade away. 4 months later having the screen down with tension on it..Lines and creases are still there. BUT…Thats not why I am posting this review. I just went to raise the screen and when it reached the top IT CAME CRASHING DOWN AS IT UNWOUND FROM THE INSIDE! Appears something broke (obviously) gears? spring? I don’t know. Never was really happy with the unit because of the permanently creased screen material but this malfunction just had to be posted here. I am glad I was there to semi-catch the screen as it unwound as all my equipment was directly beneath this junk. Take your money elsewhere. I am out over a $1000.00 at this point. I am guessing they will send an Return Authorization number to me …..leaving me to pay shipping a 10ft long heavy screen! It was trucked in…you can’t ups this thing! Not happy. I will update this post when I hear back from ALLTEC / ELITESCREENS

Have had this 92″ screen for about 2 months. Very pleased with it overall, but have one problem with it. Ever since I first installed it there are horizontal ‘lines’ in the screen material that appear to be very slight creases most likely caused by the material being wrapped around the roller when the screen is in the retracted position. These horizontal lines/creases extend from the left side of the screen toward the right side for a distance of about two feet and are very minimal There are about six of them from top to bottom and they are about eight inches apart. If I leave the screen in the down position for a few days the creases become much less noticeable but it only takes a couple of hours in the retracted position and they are back again in full force. But the screen is very flat and the very slight creases are not visible when watching my projector (Epson 5030 UB). I’d love to open it up and have a look to see what is causing the creases but I haven’t screwed up my courage to that point yet. This screen with 1.1 gain produces a great picture and is a huge improvement over my DaLite screen with VideoSpectra fabric (too many hot spots and strong Moire effect due to weave of the fabric).
