The good, the bad, the good and bad…, February 23, 2016
    By

    Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
I purchased the Duallie “flex” in Lagoon… and have found there’s both good and bad.

    The Good-
-The thing handles like a dream. I live on the edge of a rural area that provides the most gorgeous walks, but poor pavement and no sidewalks… I easily take this over broken roads, off the road where it’s too narrow, into grass, dirt, rocks, whatever, and my kids are comfortable and secure, and I am not fighting the stroller at all- to go, stop, or steer- it is truly amazing… so stable, so easy! It turns on a dime too, and in any situation. I push it with one hand, and same thing. Ah-Mazing.
-The shades are awesome, they extend far enough that my infant gets NO sun on her, and my 2 yr old loves being able to pull hers fully forward and “hide”, but still see mommy through the clear part.
-The seat doesn’t lay completely flat, but it’s flat enough for me to buckle in my infant daughter and then just pad around her with blankets (it’s still cool here anyway)… she sleeps our whole walk, no need for the carseat or adapter. Score!
    -Set up was pretty easy
-The color is fabulous- I have two daughters. I didn’t want the dark blue, orange, green, etc… this somehow seems at least a little girlier, and is true to the photos.
-The seats are so cushy! Even the few times I hit bumps big enough that the shocks didn’t just absorb it, my girls were very well protected and comfortable in such well placed/designed pads.
-And most importantly, it seems really safe. It feels sturdy, well made, strong. I jogged it, I took it on roads and off, I opened and closed it, I watched my toddler climb on it, it just seems like a nice, durable investment that will keep my babies safe.

    Good and bad:
-It doesn’t have a hand control to lock/unlock the front wheel from walk to jog mode, and it’s a little bit of a pain to stop and go up there to flip the switch. However, the little thing to change it is SUPER easy to do. I imagine it’s different for hard-core runners, but the light jogging I do it handles perfectly fine with the front wheel not fixed. Still handles like a dream.
-The plastic section in the canopy is huge and I can easily see my girls and they can see me, which is great! But when pulled back, it has to go somewhere. My daughter is JUST 2, and tall but not insanely so, and it rubs her head already. It DOES have the cool little straps that pull it up and out of her way! They are kind of awkward to use and a pain if she’s opening and closing it constantly, but they are useful. It Gives her about 3-4″ clearance now… which is good and bad also. Its great now, but she’s only 2 and 25lbs, how long will she really be able to use this if she only has another 3-4″?
-There is no snack tray attachment that will rotate easily out of the way for larger children to get in and out… however there are little mesh pockets inside each seat’s area so they can put things in there pretty easy.
-It is definitely heavy and awkward, but seriously, this thing safely handles 2 kids over any terrain- if it wasn’t heavy I wouldn’t think it was safe anyway.

    The Bad:
-I don’t particularly like the recline of the seats. My daughter has to actually lean forward to see anything out the sides. I imagine this is a safety feature since the stroller is designed for jogging, but in my life it’s a bit of a nuisance.
-The foot break… It holds the stroller very securely stopped, but that’s about all I like about it. It’s kind of weirdly positioned, (though I imagine I’ll get used to that), but mostly it’s just crazy to me that a $698 stroller with all these other great features doesn’t have a hand break! What is up with that???
-Parent console. Not only does it not come with one even at this obscene price tag, the one BOB sells for it is pretty pathetic. I am obviously pushing two kids, I have a decent amount of stuff that it’s nice to have easily accessible, and BOB doesn’t offer that. I did find a “universal” one that I love, but the fact I had to look outside the brand is ridiculous.
-The basket underneath. Again, I’ve obviously got 2 kids in this thing- why is it so small?!!? Plus, It’s in a poor location, you really have to reach way under there to access it, and there are straps right in front of it so while it’s possible, it’s stupid how difficult it is to even get a big enough diaper bag under there.

All in all, the stroller meets my needs and I do plan on keeping it. The handling and safety make it worth it, not to mention the fantastic resale value and market (If my daughter does outgrow it in a year, I can resell it and still be comfortable with what I spent). I’m certainly irritated by some aspects, but nothing is perfect!

    Love my BOB♡, March 24, 2016

Favorite BOB yet! My husband is 6’3 and I am 5’4. We both can easily adjust the handle bar to our comfort. Also, when my four year old want to get out to help push I can adjust the bar low for him to help push with me:) We have four kiddos and are huge BOB fans. Super easy to push on my jogs. It is wide so if you go shopping with it make sure the place has a double door though it is not practical for boutiques and other small shops. Wonderful for trails, neighborhoods, festivals, and I have even taken it to the grocery store a couple times when I didn’t feel like dealing with a cart. It has a small storage area underneath for a few groceries, or blankets, jackets, toys, lunch box, etc. The canopies are huge to keep the sun or rain off your little ones. I recommend getting the BOB double handle bar drink holder if you carry coffee or water with you and the little zipper compartment is a nice size for money, keys, phone, etc. The green is beautiful. Can’t say enough good things about this BOB♡
