I’ve only had the product for a few days but I can already tell this purchase was well worth. Laptop is super light, boots quickly, and so far has handled everything I’ve thrown at it including some light gaming. Also received the computer and its color is not as gold as I thought it would be from the pictures which is a bonus as well.

The flimsy nature of the frame is sometimes a little concerning. There’s a lot of flex when opening and closing and it’s hard to get a gauge on how durable it will be over time. Also the big sticker on the palm rest left a terrible residue when I pulled it off. Some WD-40 took it off but that’s kind of a pain.

But overall it’s been a great experience that’s well worth it.

very light for 14inch. the combination of ssd and i7 8th core make everything you do on it superfast. I actually tested some very large excel spreadsheet processing on it after i bought it two days ago, and simply amazing, very very fast. the keyboard design is great too. i dont feel my fingers get cramped, with LED backlight very nice. the software that helps extend the longevity of the battery also works great. not too much junk software either. it comes with WPS office suites which is a great alternative to Microsoft office. the charger is small and lightweight too. very trendy look with light gold color. overall, i am extremely pleased by this product! well done!

The laptop I receive have some issues, unlike other people said.

    1. Fan
When I turn on the laptop at first, the fan keeps running crazily and make some cracking sound until I turn off the power. This is my first time thin & light laptop, so I’m not sure it is the normal situation, but it doesn’t look natural to me.

    2. Temperature
I know under 75 is an idle temperature in the most of the laptops, but the 60+ Cpu temperature in the new laptop while browsing? I’m not satisfied with it. It has the high potential to break down because of the high temperature. If it is not the fan problem, the laptop cooling system doesn’t catch the hot air enough.

    3. Hard drive
The one thing I always check something when I receive the new hard drive or laptop, I always run the program to check its status. Someone already turned on hard drive more than 10 times and used an hour. Maybe, the Asus technician checked the laptop condition or install the Asus software, but I don’t know. 10+ power on makes me think that someone already returned this laptop b4.

The temperature and hard drive issues are my personal opinion, so it may wrong. The primary reason I return is the fan.
